I started taking guitar lessons when I was 13 and still play occasionally to this day. Now my passion lies in photography so one cold winter day I decided to get my lights out and use my guitars as my subject to get some interesting shots. This one was taken with a macro lens and the effect makes it look as if the strings had been recently strummed, but they had not. It is just the effect of using a very low F stop to blur most of the image while just a small part stayed in focus.
I loved seeing this two-handed artist in Savannah, GA. The tree on the right frames my subject in nicely. As he works on his art, I also worked on mine as I carefully considered my composition. I wanted to include the tree as well as the pice of wood off to the left of the artist. This is image is best as a small print
Take Another Look (Columbus State House)

This image, Tears of Freedom, is a composite of two images that I created using an image of the puppet and an image of the American Flag. I wanted the image to invoke patriotism and love for our country and the values that we hold as Americans. I made the American flag more faded towards the bottom of the image and wanted the stars to stand out against the puppet's face. I shot the puppet as he was behind glass which makes it look as though he is partially stepping out of glass. As you can see, one of the stars falls upon the puppets right eye as if he is crying tears of stars, thus the name Tears of Freedom. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will leave a comment about this image and tell me what you think.
