Note to customers:
When ordering your image please use preview to make sure your image fits sufficiently in the medium you choose. Some images will not work well with the canvas wrap or float option, as it wraps part of the image around the edges. Metal images and paper images fit better on the size image is cropped for.
"A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed" - Ansel Adams
This image, Tears of Freedom, is a composite of two images that I created using an image of the puppet and an image of the American Flag. I wanted the image to invoke patriotism and love for our country and the values that we hold as Americans. I made the American flag more faded towards the bottom of the image and wanted the stars to stand out against the puppet's face. I shot the puppet as he was behind glass which makes it look as though he is partially stepping out of glass. As you can see, one of the stars falls upon the puppets right eye as if he is crying tears of stars, thus the name Tears of Freedom. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will leave a comment about this image and tell me what you think.
I am a self-taught photographer and a mother of two adult children. When I am not making images, I am editing them and when I am not doing that, I am with my family or my cat. I enjoy ballroom and Latin dancing, reading, summertime and going to the beach.
Photography is my passion. I love making images that tell a story and that others enjoy as well. If you like something, please leave a comment so I know what people are enjoying my work.
The hi-light of my year is during my shows, where I get to meet many of the people who like my art and my style. Stop back often as I will keep you updated when and where I will be displaying. As a photographer, this is often the only way I know if someone likes what I do.
Thank you for stopping by my gallery and I hope to meet you in person some day.

Believe it or not, this is one of the many homes that the people of the floating village in Cambodia live in. We have so many blessings here in America and could never imagine having to live in a boat on the river with snakes all around. This was truly a humbling experience for me to see how some people in the world live.
Workin Man - American Life Series
Accepted at the Ohio State Fair Cox Fine Art Competition 2019 and will be on display this year during the Ohio State Fair. This man was very engaging and kind when I spoke with him. This is how he makes a living, sitting outside an abandoned building playing music for the tourists and hoping for donations.
